The Contributor, which is sold by vendors experiencing homelessness or poverty, was seeking a way to increase sales during the holidays. To entice customers, the newspaper was transformed into a series of designs that double as wrapping paper. Each paper purchased provided the vendor with a sale (or multiple sales) and the customer with a tangible takeaway to be used for wrapping gifts. Results were widely received and generated 40% of donations for the entire year.
